Tax Agent Services Act 2009
STH Bookkeeping is a registered BAS Agent authorised to provide BAS services in accordance with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 and associated regulations administered by the Tax Practitioners Board.

Our BAS services include advice, interpretation, dealings with the Australian Taxation Office, and the preparation and lodgement of approved forms relating to GST, BAS, payroll obligations, and superannuation guarantee requirements.

Under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, BAS services may only be provided by a registered BAS Agent or Tax Agent.
As a registered BAS Agent, STH Bookkeeping is subject to the Code of Professional Conduct administered by the Tax Practitioners Board together with all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.

STH Bookkeeping is committed to maintaining the professional, ethical, and compliance standards required under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, the Tax Agent Services Regulations 2022, and associated determinations issued by the Tax Practitioners Board.
Under recent amendments to the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, registered BAS Agents and Tax Agents are subject to enhanced professional and ethical obligations, including additional obligations relating to professional conduct, integrity, and compliance standards administered by the Tax Practitioners Board.

We are also required to comply with Australian Taxation Office requirements in relation to Online Services, confidentiality, data security, and the use of associated software platforms.

Practitioner Disclosure
In accordance with our obligations under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, we confirm that, to the best of our knowledge and belief:
• Our registration has not been suspended or terminated by the Tax Practitioners Board
• We are not, and have not been, an undischarged bankrupt or subject to external administration
• We have not been convicted of a serious taxation offence or an offence involving fraud or dishonesty
• We have not been sentenced to a term of imprisonment in Australia for a period of six months or more
• We have not been subject to any injunction, administrative penalty, or order requiring disclosure under relevant legislation
• No conditions or restrictions have been imposed on our registration
• We do not knowingly employ or engage individuals or entities disqualified under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009

We are not aware of any matter or circumstance that may materially influence a client’s decision to engage, or continue to engage, our services as a registered BAS Agent.
